We’re delighted to be able to share with you some updates and photos of the building enhancements we are currently undertaking.

Kingfisher Court, a fantastic outdoor enclosed astroturf facility where children can take part in many different physical activities, is now complete. Some of the boundary fences have activity walls to test skills and engage team work. The pitch is marked with a 5-aside football court, 2 full size tennis courts and 4 multi use games courts. This facility is open to community use out of school hours and details can be found here.

Alongside the development of Kingfisher Court, the school grounds have been subject to some fantastic improvements to create more usable and secure play spaces and also enhance the entrance to the school. In addition we have added some astroturf to our previously very muddy bark area to enable the area to be used all year round and also purchased some picnic benches to improve outdoor learning opportunities and allow for eating outside in favourable weather!

Inside the school, we have created a new wonderful learning space within the Year 5/6 corridor by removing a large cupboard. This change has created further personalised learning space providing opportunities for individual children.

Finally, we have been fortunate to secure funding to have the school roof insulated and treated with a special liquid plastic which significantly improves our weather tightness and conserves more energy. Hopefully roof leaks will now be a thing of the past…..at least until the 20 year guarantee runs out!
