Grounds and Play-Space Development
We are delighted to have completed the first phase of development of our school grounds and play-space, including the addition of a multi functional all weather activity pitch. This area has already had a massive impact on the space available to the children and the quality of their learning in PE.
The MUGA (Multi Use Games Arena), is now finished and being utilised for tennis, netball and 5-a-side football, amongst other multi sports skills.
Phase 2 will see the development of the school entrance area and Phase 3 will enhance some of the playground areas in the school.
Almost Done! – 12th March 2016
The contractors have made great progress over the Easter holidays. The targeting walls are almost finished. The basketball nets are up; we are amazed how well they have succeeded on half of the play area!
The sports ambassadors have a little message to say:
“We can’t wait to encourage the River Mead family to enjoy sports!”
We are pleased to announce that on the 9th of May it will be completed!
